The Church House is a boutique guest house and gourmet retreat located close to Wilsons Promontory National Park. The historic 1800s Church building was lovingly restored into its current incarnation as a grand retreat with magnificent valley views by owners Peter and Mary, who provide personalised service as the retreat’s onsite hosts. Guests can relax in the outdoor hot tub and explore the 20 acre property which includes Hoddle Creek, varied bird life, wombats, koalas and wallabies. With only three guest suites, visitors are quickly made to feel at home with evening meals able to be enjoyed together at the communal table or at a privately set table for two. Pre-dinner drinks and canapes are another opportunity to meet your hosts and fellow guests, and you can expect the food and wine served to be local and mostly harvested onsite in the wonderful terraced kitchen garden, orchard and vineyard. At breakfast, you’ll enjoy yet more fresh produce with home-baked pastries, muesli, hand-made sausages and eggs supplied by their own chickens. The views from the breakfast table, positioned on the East Terrace, will have you ready to explore the beautiful countryside.
