Located in picturesque Derwent Valley, about an hours’ drive from Hobart, the Agrarian Kitchen is a sustainable farm-based cooking school offering paddock-to-plate dining in a converted 19th century schoolhouse. The farm features chickens, pigs, goats and a comprehensive kitchen vegetable and herb garden, with farm produce used to produce quality meals and a range of preservatives and other products aimed to reduce waste. Spend a day at the farm picking fresh produce, cooking and learning from the resident expert chef, and dining on a wonderful lunch with local wines. An authentic Tasmanian experience.
