El Questro hiking is at its best in the magnificent gorges, many of which end at a waterfall or swimming hole. We highly recommend the El Questro gorge walk which includes the butterfly filled rainforest and boulder strewn valley of El Questro gorge before arriving at the most stunning waterfall. The first half of the walk follows a narrow spring-fed creek through palm and fern clad escarpments to a small, crystal clear swimming hole, where you can relax and drink in the beauty of the rainforest. From this point forward, the trail becomes more challenging but the waterfall and beautiful swimming hole at the end of this trail are well worth the effort. Please let us know if you need advice on the suitability of this walk for your experience and fitness level.
