Located about 10 km south of Whitemark, the Strzelecki Peaks are the highest point in Strzelecki National park and dominate the southern half of Flinders Island. The 4-5 hour Strzelecki Peaks Walk offers panoramic views over Bass Street to Tasmania’s mainland, and across the stunning bays and rocky headlands of Flinders Island. The largely uphill walk climbs through ferns, she-oak stands and native wildflowers before reaching the summit at 756 metres above the sea below. A must-do for any walker visiting Flinders Island.
