Gantheaume Point is a promontory adjoining Cable Beach known for its deep pindan red cliffs set against the shimmering turquoise ocean below. Gantheaume Point is also home to dinosaur footprints preserved for 130 million years in reef rock visible at low tide at the bottom of the cliffs. We recommend a late afternoon walk to Gantheaume Point when staying at Cable Beach Club so you can enjoy the sunset views on the return walk along the beach.

Walk distance: 7.7 km (about 90 minutes) each way from Cable Beach Club Resort, or 8 km (about 1 hour 40 minutes) each way from the Mangrove Hotel. Take plenty of water and wear sun protection (hat, sunglasses and sunscreen) at all times.
