    Day-by-Day Itinerary

    Day 1

    After a one hour transfer from Adelaide arrive at Maggie Beer's Barossa farm in time for a 4 course chef’s selection lunch at The Eatery, before browsing the farm shop. Next it’s on to Henschke wines for a tasting of their iconic Barossa reds, and the opportunity to make a purchase – why not splurge on that Hill of Grace? On arrival this afternoon at Hutton Vale Farm you’ll settle into the wonderful J.H.A Stone Cellar before joining a member of the Angas family for a private tasting of their vineyard wines. If you’d like to stretch your legs after, there are plenty of walks nearby and your hosts will be happy to show you around their special property. Tonight you’ll enjoy dinner at one of Barossa’s best restaurant, Vintners, with three courses served before your driver whisks you back to Hutton Vale.

    Day 2

    After breakfast in your villa, you’ll be collected for your full day private Barossa tour. First visit premium boutique vineyard, Charles Melton, for a guided tasting of top-class Barossa wines including their Icon range. St Hugo is next, with an Estate tour and comprehensive tasting before sitting down to a four-course lunch with wine matches. After lunch your final stop is Seppeltsfield where’ you’ll have the unique opportunity to taste an aged fortified (tawny port) from your birth year straight from the barrel. There's time to browse the makers and artists of the Seppeltsfield village, before returning to Hutton Vale to find a home-cooked meal in your kitchen ready to warm on the stove.

    Day 3

    After a leisurely start to the day and more fresh farm produce for breakfast, you’ll board your private light aircraft transfer to the Flinders Range late morning taking off from Hutton Vale’s own landing strip. After a scenic 1 hour flight and short road transfer you'll arrive at Arkaba Homestead in time for an afternoon safari drive taking in views of the Elder and Flinders Ranges, and the 60,000 acres of this nature conservancy. You'll be sure to spot emus and kangaroos, as you enjoy a sundowner drink on top of the ranges with your Arkaba hosts. Later enjoy a three-course dinner and your favourite South Australian wines at the Homestead.

    Day 4

    After a breakfast prepared by Arkaba’s chef, you will set off this morning for a 5-6 hour walk starting at Arkaba Creek this morning where you’ll witness how the ancient creeks have carved their way through the landscape. Birdlife is plentiful along the creek with opportunities to spot galahs, honeyeaters and parrots this morning. After lunch enjoy the undulating hills as you make your way along the Elder Ranges ridge top before climbing Arkaba Hill and finally descending back to the comfort of the Homestead. There’s time to relax by the pool before another wonderful dinner celebrating local and native ingredients. We recommend enjoying your favourite port or after dinner tipple by the fire tonight to take in the vastness of the outback sky blanketed with stars.

    Day 5

    Wake up to another beautiful morning at Arkaba and enjoy a coffee and breakfast with your new-found friends on the terrace. Today you will explore the wildlife and landscape of Arkaba Conservancy, crossing undulating terrain of acacia and she-oak groves, and permanent water sources that are an important life source for native kangaroos, emus, parrots and other resident wildlife. You’ll return to the Homestead for a bush-inspired late lunch today, and have some time to put your feet up before sundowner drinks followed by dinner under the stars, weather permitting. Today's walk averages 14 km (5-6 hours).

    Day 6

    After an early breakfast, your guides will lead you into the breathtaking valleys and ranges of the Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park this morning. You will pass impressive Wilpena Pound on your way to Bunyeroo Valley where you’ll be led on the Wilcolo track to some of the more remote sections of the national park. Highlights including the views of the ABC and Heysen Ranges and the wildlife viewing opportunities in the valley with the chance to spot the rare yellow-footed rock wallaby endemic to this region. Today's walk covers 11 km and takes 4-5 hours. A final sundowner drinks and three course meal is a fitting toast to the end of your walk tonight.

    Day 7

    Enjoy a leisurely start to your day this morning, and if you have the energy, one last morning walk. After a late breakfast you’ll be collected by your driver for a private transfer back to Adelaide. The drive will be broken up with stops at scenic spots and a wonderful lunch in the Clare Valley (included). Arrive back in Adelaide by 6 pm for your journey home or onward adventure.
