      Day-by-Day Itinerary

      Day 1

      Fly from Melbourne this afternoon direct to Flinders Island. On arrival you’ll be whisked to Wombat Lodge by your local host and have the rest of the afternoon to settle in by the fire, or perhaps enjoy a bike ride to the beach or a walk on one of the private trails onsite. Provisions for dinner will be ready for you to enjoy tonight, and there is a well-stocked private bar for you to select your drink of choice from (at cost).

      Day 2

      Breakfast is enjoyed at Wombat Lodge, with our favourite seat by the fire with views over the surrounding farmland. Your guide will arrive mid-morning for your Strzelecki Peaks Walk adventure, which offers panoramic view over the Flinders Island coastline and the rocky peaks of Strzelecki National Park. You will enjoy a packed picnic lunch on your 5 hour walk before returning to Wombat Lodge, where a soak in the deep bath might be in order! Another delicious locally sourced dinner is in your kitchen ready to enjoy tonight.

      Day 3

      After another breakfast showcasing local ingredients, your host will arrive to transfer you to the Mt Killercrankie trailhead for your short self-guided morning walk to the summit. Soak in the coastal views from the rocky peak as you bid farewell to this special corner of Tasmania. Upon finishing your walk, you will be dropped to your special Destination Lunch location on Flinders Island. Weather permitting you will dine outside with lunch showcasing local ingredients and, if in season, crayfish fresh from the water. Local wine and locally distilled gin is also served, as you look to the beach and farmland from where your meal was sourced. After lunch your pilot will land nearby ready for your helicopter transfer to the Tamar Valley. Flying over the Furneaux Islands enjoy the stunning coastal views before arriving on the green hillside of Clover Hill Estate. Here you’ll be treated to a private museum tasting of a selection of Blanc de Blanc sparkling wines, before sitting down to a light platter of cheese and antipasto. Your driver will meet you after for your transfer to Cradle Mountain Lodge where you spend the next two nights. Enjoy your private outdoor hot tub in the premier King Billy Suite and a relaxing evening at the lodge.

      Day 4

      After breakfast at the lodge, meet your private guide for today’s alpine hike to Crater Lake and Marion’s Lookout. Walking with your experienced guide you will be led towards the towering peaks of Cradle Mountain passing alpine lakes and abundant wildlife - particularly wombats – as you climb higher. Arriving at Marion’s Lookout is the perfect reward for tired legs, with dramatic alpine views overlooking the aptly named Crater Lake. Lunch is enjoyed on the trail today and, track permitting, you will then visit Dove Lake before returning to the lodge. This afternoon you will have time to recuperate with exclusive use of the Waldheim Alpine Spa for one hour allowing you to enjoy the spa facilities with panoramic views to the valley below in complete privacy. A bottle of sparking is also included with your experience. A free evening follows, which we recommend finishing with a complimentary port by the fire.

      D4 Crater Lake Cradle Mountain

      Day 5

      Depart Cradle Mountain Lodge after breakfast for the 3.5 hour drive to Freycinet National Park stopping for a coffee on the way and arriving in time for lunch at Saffire. This afternoon you have the option of enjoying one of Saffire’s included experiences such as visiting a local oyster farm, kayaking in a lagoon with the Hazards as a backdrop, or perhaps joining a cooking class hosted by Saffire’s chef. Alternatively enjoy a leisurely afternoon in the panoramic lounge or in your private villa with premium local wines available to enjoy. Tonight, a degustation dinner is included at Saffire’s exclusive Palate restaurant where the chef will tailor your courses to suit your preferred style of dining. Local produce and wines are showcased throughout the evening, and you will enjoy views to the Hazard Mountains as you dine.

      Day 6

      Enjoy breakfast at Saffire this morning and discuss your plans for the day with the activities host. We recommend a guided walk to Mt Amos today for views over the white sand beach and turquoise waters of world-renowned Wineglass Bay. Return to Saffire in time for a late lunch and enjoy some time this afternoon at the onsite Spa or perhaps join another included activity. Be sure to return in time for a glass of sparkling wine in the main lounge at sunset, and another wonderful degustation dinner showcasing Tasmanian produce and wines follows tonight.

      D6 Mt Amos summit Walk into Luxury

      Day 7

      Enjoy a leisurely start today and a freshly prepared breakfast in the restaurant, before one last chance to enjoy the views while having a coffee in the lounge or back in your villa. Your private driver will meet you mid-morning for your transfer back to Hobart (or your next destination). For guests combining their journey with the Maria Island Walk, you will be dropped to Triabunna in time to meet your walk group mid-morning
