After landing at Uluru (Ayer’s Rock) Airport, you’ll be transferred to Longitude 131°, your luxury lodging with views over Uluru and Kata Tjuta. Premium food and wine is included throughout your stay here. This afternoon you’ll join your Longitude 131° host on a walk along a portion of the Uluru base walking track. Learn about the Mala people and view cave paintings before visiting Kantju gorge at dusk to watch the rock walls changing colour as the sun begins to set. Capture the changing light reflected over Uluru’s many faces over a chilled glass of wine and canapés before returning to camp for dinner showcasing local produce at the Dune House restaurant. After dinner retire to your stunning tent, perhaps relaxing on the deck lounge to take in the silence of the dessert at night.

Explore the impressive formation of Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) on a private guided walk today. Your Longitude 131° guide will meet you after an early breakfast for your transfer to Kata Tjuta. Renowned as the best day hike in the region, you will follow your guide along a challenging trail traversing rocky terrain, creeks and canyons leading to a spectacular natural amphitheatre, known as the Valley of the Winds. Your 5 hour hike will see you return to camp in time for a late lunch. This afternoon there’s time to relax by the pool with views to Uluru, before visiting the Field of Lights later this afternoon. As the sunsets you’ll witness the spectacular sight of this art installation lighting up the dessert landscape. Tonight enjoy dinner at Table 131° dining under the stars at an exclusive venue among the dunes. Enjoy the sense of natural theatre over four courses complemented with fine Australian wines. Later, a Lodge guide regales the gathering with tales of the Southerly constellations.

After a leisurely breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight to Alice Springs. On landing your host for the day will meet you and you’ll be transferred to Simpson's Gap for a short walk along the creek bed offering views to the gorge walls above. Enjoy lunch in the national park before another scenic short walk at Standley Chasm or on the Larapinta Trail. Alternatively there’s time for a visit to Alice Springs township and local sights – we can tailor today to suit your preferences so be sure to let us know your interests and we will recommend the perfect day out. You’ll be dropped to the Ghan station in plenty of time for your early evening departure. Continue on your Ghan journey today as you travel across the outback arriving into Katherine this morning after a relaxed breakfast onboard. Prepare to experience one of the region’s most impressive natural wonders, Nitmiluk Gorge, part of the 292,000 hectare Nitmiluk National Park. You'll explore the gorge from the water with a guided cruise included today before re-joining the train and continuing your journey into Darwin arriving this evening. Your driver will escort you to your overnight accommodation on Darwin’s waterfront.

Here you will board your private 25 minute charter flight to Bamurru Plains, flying over the Mary River wetlands region and countryside on the way. Bamurru is a unique safari lodge known for its prolific birdlife and wild buffalo which you can view on open-air safari drives and on the wetlands in Bamurru's unique airboats. After settling into your luxe tent, enjoy a peaceful river cruise this afternoon through a section of the Mary River wetland system and spot the crocodiles and prolific bird life. A morning airboat safari on the floodplain wetlands of the Mary River catchment is a uniquely thrilling experience. The wetlands are home to thousands of Magpie Geese, Plumed Whistling-Duck, Ibis, Egrets and a host of other bird-life, which will take flight as you zip across the floodplains barely skimming the surface of the water. After a relaxed morning back at camp, your lunch today is a special private experience at Bamurru's wildlife viewing hide. You'll be whisked to the Hide for a two-hour lunch with picnic hamper, wines and binoculars supplied. With the Hide guaranteed for your exclusive use, you're free to take an after-lunch nap in your personal tree house with the sounds of the bush on the breeze to lull you to sleep. Later, travel with your guide across the Bamurru Plains property in a safari vehicle with raised seating providing the best possible vantage point for spotting native wallabies, crocodiles, wild horses, buffalo’s and some of the hundreds of bird species that call Bamurru home.
